
Dermot has a broad based real estate practice encompassing all aspects of commercial real estate work, including development, investment and major landlord and tenant work. It also includes advising on any type of financing transaction involving property, particularly securitisation and structured finance, but also including the more traditional forms of property finance. He also has a wide experience in advising on the commercial real estate aspects of all types of the more general commercial transactions, e.g. the sale and purchase of both private and public companies.
Dermot is a member of our Environmental Law unit. He acted as legal adviser to the Waste Minimisation Sub-Group of the Second Advisory Committee on Business in the Environment established between the CBI and the Government. He has advised on the environmental law aspects of the acquisition, sale and flotation of a broad variety of environmentally sensitive businesses, as well as giving advice in relation to environmental compliance and liability issues generally.
