Our Insurance group is made up of partners with considerable specialist knowledge of the insurance sector, providing a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners with a formidable blend of legal, regulatory and tax expertise in the insurance field. The group has handled many of the largest and most innovative transactions in the sector in recent years and has advised on the implications of many significant developments. Our insurance partners are well-known to many of the officials at the FSA involved in the financial supervision and regulation of financial services in the UK and we also work closely with our Financial Regulation group on such issues.

The quality of our work has been recognised by a number of awards including 'Outsourcing Advisor of the Year' (National Outsourcing Awards for Best Practice in Outsourcing, 2007) for our work for Aviva on the outsourcing by its UK life business, Norwich Union Life, of the administration of almost three million of its life and pension policies to Swiss Re and 'Financial Services and Insurance Team of the Year' (Legal Business Awards, 2007) for our work for Standard Life on its demutalisation and flotation.
