Slaughter and May elects new Senior Partner

Slaughter and May, one of the leading international law firms, today announces that Christopher Saul has been elected as Senior Partner with effect from 1 May 2008 for a five year term.

Chris, 52, joined Slaughter and May as a trainee solicitor in 1977 and became a Partner in 1986. He specialises in corporate, M&A, private equity and securities work.

Chris will succeed Tim Clark who will step down at the end of April on completion of his second term as Senior Partner. Tim Clark joined Slaughter and May as a trainee solicitor and has been with the firm for 34 years, 25 of them as a Partner and 7 as Senior Partner.
